ABOUT
I’m a graduate of Kennesaw State University, where I studied Interactive Design with a minor in Technical Communication. My background combines multimedia design, web development, and visual storytelling with a strong focus on design thinking and human-centered design.
My technical communication training taught me how to bridge the gap between subject-matter experts and everyday users. I enjoy translating complex ideas into content that is clear, engaging, and accessible whether that’s through visual design, digital experiences, or educational materials.
Over the past few years, I’ve worked on projects ranging from healthcare SaaS and user guides to social media content and corporate documents, always making sure the visuals align with brand identity and communicate a consistent message. I’m comfortable wearing multiple hats and adapting to different needs, bringing a versatile mix of design, communication, and technical skills to each project.
My design process always begins with understanding the purpose and audience. I start by asking questions like:
-
What message are we trying to communicate?
-
Who are we trying to reach?
-
What's the desired outcome?
From there, I move into research and brainstorming, gathering inspiration, creating mood boards, and organizing the hierarchy of information. The process then becomes iterative: testing ideas, refining designs, and incorporating feedback to create solutions that are both effective and meaningful.
Accessibility and inclusivity are also central to how I design. In my Digital Accessibility coursework, I evaluated websites against accessibility guidelines and explored how users with different abilities interact with digital platforms. This experience strengthened my understanding of how thoughtful choices in layout, color contrast, navigation, and interaction design can make digital content usable for everyone. I’m also deeply interested in visual storytelling across different media. My motion design coursework introduced me to Adobe After Effects, where I created animated logos and lyric videos, and I completed an instructional video course covering the full production process of scripting, filming, voice-over, and editing. Photography is another creative outlet that influences my design work. Through both professional projects and personal practice with my digital camera, I’ve developed a strong eye for composition, lighting, and visual storytelling. I think carefully about how imagery supports a message and contributes to the overall narrative of a brand or project.
At heart, I’m an artist and storyteller. I believe effective marketing and communication are about more than promotion. Its about making complex ideas accessible and meaningful to real people.
I’m especially passionate about working in education and nonprofit environments, where creativity can have a tangible impact on communities. Looking ahead, I hope to continue growing as a designer and communicator while also supporting and mentoring others, helping maintain strong creative standards and contributing to projects that make a difference.
Outside of design, I enjoy movies, art, and traveling, which continue to inspire my creativity.
